Job Summary

A results-driven sales representative to actively seek out leads, engage customer prospects and secure business with restaurants, caterers, event planners and large venues in the New York City/Tri-State area. This is a 100% commission role.

General Accountabilities

  • Contacts prospective customers to explain different cuts of beef, pork and poultry items to add to customers menu
  • Recommends products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests
  • Answers customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Estimates or quotes prices, credits or contract terms, delivery dates
  • Consults with clients after onboarding to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
  • Performs administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Takes orders from customers as needed and relays to the production team
  • Reviews industry trade magazines to stay on top of product and possibly generate leads

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of various cuts of beef, pork, veal and more
  • Knowledge of NYC
  • Prior sales experience. 2-3 years in related industry preferred
  • Previously established relationships a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
